A brief history of Hagen Ford.
In 1961, Arthur E. Hagen recognized the need for a premier Ford dealership in the area. He founded Delta Ford with partner Charles W. McIntyre. The dealership was operated in a building on Bay City's Midland Street until 1967 when the current facility was opened. In 1979, Arthur E. Hagen purchased Charles W. McIntyre's share of the business for full ownership of the franchise, renaming the business Hagen Ford, Inc.
While the automotive industry has seen many dealerships change owners over the years, Hagen Ford remains a family-owned and family-operated business for 54 years. We are the oldest, privately owned Ford dealership in the area. Today, second generation owners, Thomas Hagen, president, and Robert Hagen, general manager, are lifelong residents of the region who are happy work and serve the community.
Throughout the years, Hagen Ford continues to support and sponsor community activities and accomplishments of the Great Lakes Bay region, establishing relationships to grow our satisfied and loyal customers.
Currently the dealership offers a state of the art service and body shop center and a customer service focused sales department. Hagen Ford strives to grow and change with the industry, time, and community. In 2015 and 2016, Hagen Ford went underway to transform into a state of the art, customer focused facility. Our renovations were made with you in mind!
